About

Hi, I’m Alecia 🌿

I’m a home birth practitioner who feels incredibly honored to support families from fertility and conception through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum season! Birth work has been such a meaningful part of my life since 2021, and during that time I’ve had the privilege of serving hundreds of families where very single one has deepened my respect for the strength, intuition, and resilience of women and their families. Birth is powerful, transformative work, and I truly love what I do!

My philosophy around birth is simple: you birth your way ✨

Every family is different, and every pregnancy and birth unfolds in its own unique way. My role isn’t to control your birth — it’s to support you through it. I’m here to offer knowledge, guidance, and experience while honoring that you are the one making the decisions for your body and your baby. As long as our overall values around care and safety align, I will always support what feels right for you and your family!

Before practicing home birth care, I spent years supporting families as a dietician, doula, and educator. I previously owned and operated two birth-centered businesses in Wisconsin. One of those, The Doula Collective, I am still running today and is something I will forever be grateful for! We are a team of more than 14 doulas who provide loving and extensive pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support to families in the community both in and out of hospital. Some of these doulas I had the honor of training myself, and others are amazing, well-loved women who have long been part of the local birth community.

In 2021, I studied and received a degree in holistic dietetics, which led me to work closely with women navigating fertility, loss, conception, pregnancy, and postpartum healing. These seasons can be some of the most vulnerable and challenging times in a woman’s life, and they are often incredibly underserved. My goal has always been to help women feel supported, nourished, and cared for during these experiences so they can feel their best — physically, emotionally, and mentally 🌼

My style of home birth care is intuitive, grounded, and intentional. I deeply trust the body’s ability to grow, birth, and nurture babies. At the same time, I believe good care comes from being attentive, thoughtful, and present. Our bodies are capable of amazing things, but the best providers are those who know how to observe the birth space and know when to step in if needed.

Right now, I practice as a traditional home birth practitioner and I’m currently working toward my Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) credential, which I expect to complete in June 2026. My education has come through years of coursework, hands-on experience, mentorship, and learning alongside incredible midwives and birth workers who deeply respect physiological birth and the wisdom of the body.

If something calls for additional support, I’m never afraid to suggest medical collaboration or referrals. I believe the best outcomes come from mutual trust between the myself and the family. We are big on open communication and making decisions together when needed.

At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to create a space where you feel safe, respected, supported, and truly seen as you bring your baby into the world!

Being invited into someone’s birth space is one of the greatest honors there is, and I will never take that lightly. If this approach resonates with you, I would love to connect and hear more about your journey! 🌿
